After a deadly crash, a pilot’s estate sued an FAA-certified repair station in Dubuque, Iowa for $500,000, alleging that inadequate maintenance at the station caused the plane’s engine to fail. After a three-week trial, the jury was convinced that the pilot was negligent and that the repair station had absolutely no responsibility for the accident. With our successful defense, the plaintiff received nothing.
